On day 42, we visited Headwaters Park again; but this time brought our bikes. After not parking in the right spot, we walked our bikes through ankle-deep mud to finally arrive on the nice paved bike trail. Carolyn was not happy with both feet completely saturated in mud and it creeping up her legs. Finally, we found the bike trail. We rode towards Middlefield and decided to push it by continuing all the way down to downtown Middlefield to admire the mural that Corey and friends designed and painted in middle school. This was Carolyn’s longest ride yet totaling 11.38 miles. After cleaning up, we both enjoyed a good night’s rest since we hadn’t trained for such a long ride previously.
