On day 78, we visited Viaduct Park in Bedford, part of Cleveland Metroparks. This day would soon turn out to be the best day little did Carolyn know. It was a Sunday afternoon, and Corey had been talking about wanting to go to Viaduct park. We were planning on heading out to Corey’s parents that evening so we figured we’d hit the park first. We invited our friends Adam and Elisse to join us, so we met up at the park. After hiking a little while, we stopped at this overlook area and Corey started talking about how this is our 78th day and 78th parks and then starting talking about how we’ve been together for 78 months (6.5 years!), and then got down on one knee!! Corey asked Carolyn if she’d join him for all the future months and parks and she said YES! He also pulled out a pretty ring. Later Carolyn told Corey he didn’t officially ask her to marry him, which he then did, and she said yes to that question as well! After our exciting park visit, we started the process of telling all those nearest and dearest to us before posting on social media.
